Hello there, now I have read over the other two critiques, and have to strongly disagree with ~MarianaErwin555's one, mainly due to the strong disregard of a "critique", I fear that they might not understand what a critique is, here a paste from Wikipedia "Critique is commonly understood as fault finding and negative judgement[1], but it can also involve merit recognition" As they gave no real reasons for their thought or anything you may learn by, in my opinion, it was a long good job comment. Also, Neoteny hasn't got much to do with this image, again from wiki "Pedomorphism is the retention by adults of traits previously seen only in juveniles, and is a subject studied in the field of developmental biology. In neoteny, the physiological (or somatic) development of an organism (typically an animal) is slowed or delayed." I fear a finger with a fruit on is doesn't have any neoteny. Sorry!
Now, I will try and go into the mechanics of this image, bit by bit, then go through my star ratings with you, just so you know I'm not a silly troll.
So, as the viewer, your eyes clearly look at the first left "gnome", going over all his features and then the smaller one next to it, this draws the viewers eye around the picture. Basic principals. Next I'll look at your formal elements, starting with RoT (rule of thirds) RoT - To me, you seem to have used it quite well, the raspberry being on one of the cross-points, and the lower raspberry being on a lower vertical line, good job.
Line - The main lines I see here are the fingers, although you -could- say the raspberries include this too, not very often will this be used unless you were looking at a landscape image.
Shape - The main shapes that pop out to me, are triangles, rectangles and circles, using these simple shapes make a easier picture to look at in the whole, again, not bad.
Form - I can't say there is all too much form to this, the only depth is between the foreground, and back-ground, it might ruin the picture as this is more of a close-up shot.
Texture - As this picture isn't very sharp (sorry to say!) there isn't much texture seen, I am looking for more in the raspberries and your fingertips. Could use improvement.
Pattern - A main recurring pattern is the use of circles, although it get's broken by the raspberry, in my opinion, some more in the background might counter this.
Colour (since I'm British) - I feel like there is a very cool theme to this picture, and I don't find it appealing, when you think of raspberries you might think of summer, or spring. The cooling filter or something similar to that effect draws the image potential back.
Conclusion - Good use of shape and RoT, you might need a little work on colour.

My ratings.
Vision - The is a (imo) underlying theme of family here, also, overlooking the wrong colour theme for the subject a cool, wintery feel, like santas killer elves or something. 3.5 stars
Originality - I can't say I've seen many people put fruit on their fingers and draw faces, so 4.5 stars
Technique - Now this is where you falter on, you've used a high amount of Bokeh, and nothing really technically difficult. There could of been a few improvements, or some experimenting, longer exposure, higher contrast etc etc. 3 stars
Impact - As many people say, it's "cute" "adorable" and other nice things, it's quirky, I admit, I chuckled at it, so well done. But I feel like something is missing, maybe more family members? 4 stars.
Overall! Well you need work, but so does everyone, we all need a hand here and there, but you're heading in the right direction, keep up the good work and I hope you take my advice forward in your future work.
This is really cute, I loved it! It was able to brighten my day to see something as creative as this, and hey--- I'm not the only one who thinks this, because look! It's on the popular list!
Hey, it sometimes takes something simple like this to make people smile!
But anyway--- what I do recommend is that you possible zoom out a bit on the gnomes, and place them in a background that would fit them, well... being gnomes! Because not only is the main focus necessary, background is a nice touch to add as well!
Anyway, this is my short critique, thanks for giving me the chance too! -Ronan
